SEND provision places survey
Leicester City Council is looking to develop the right provision and arrangements to provide school places which provide specialist support and provision.
Purpose of the survey
The Council need to develop a small number of new places to meet the needs of children and young people with Education, Health and Care Plans for September 2018. In addition to this need, it is projected that the total population of children and young people across the City will increase by approximately 20% (from 53,000 to 64,000) between now and 2025. This means that we will require more specialist support for our children and young people experiencing SEND.
Who completed the survey
Parents and carers of children and young people within the school system, pre-school and those who have been through the school system with SEND needs were invited to respond to this survey. Your views and personal experiences should help the Council to make positive decisions to develop appropriate school places.
Thank you to all those who took time to complete the survey.
