When children reach school age the childcare needs change. Childcare wrapped around the school day can help parents manage their time.
Breakfast clubs
These provide a safe place for your child to wait until school starts and many can provide a healthy, low cost breakfast.
They normally run for less than two hours and therefore do not have to be registered with Ofsted.

After school clubs
After school clubs are activity based care that is offered when the school day has finished. Most clubs are based at the school, however some may be delivered at other venues. Some clubs may take children from different schools and may provide a collection service. Search for an after school club
Holiday playschemes
Playschemes take place during school holidays and offer lots of activities, arts, sports and indoor and outdoor fun. Most playschemes are booked in advance to secure a place, however some may be open access where children can just turn up on the day. Schools often share information about playschemes that are ran locally or search for school holiday activities.
