New funding entitlement for two year olds
From April 2024 working families who have a two year old child may be entitled to 15 hours of Funded Early Education Entitlement (FEEE).
Who is eligible?
You may be eligible for 15 hours of funding if:
- Your child turns two before 31 March 2024
- You, and your partner (if applicable), individually earn more than £167 per week (equivalent to 16 hours per week at minimum wage)
- You, and your partner (if applicable), individually earn less than £100,000 per year.
How to apply
If you think that you are eligible for the new entitlement, visit the Childcare Choices website and follow the application instructions detailed on the website.
For the funding to be in place for the summer term (April to August 2024), you must apply by 11:59pm on Sunday 31 March 2024. Funding for applications made after this deadline will not start until the autumn term (September 2024).
