  • Difficulty in reading and spelling compared to other skills and subjects
  • Difficulty in blending and segmenting sounds for reading and spelling
  • Weak short term verbal memory, eg may forget what has just been said
  • Slow processing of spoken and written language
  • May struggle with planning and organisation
